Privacy Policy
This notice explains how Coding Mammoth BV handles personal data when you visit codingmammoth.com or contact us about our company and services. It also summarises QuickScale and MijnLijn below. Semonto has its own privacy notice and list of subprocessors. ChaseMe has a separate privacy notice. Those separate notices cover Semonto and ChaseMe themselves.
Who is responsible
Coding Mammoth BV is the controller for the activities described on this page. Our registered office is Krijgslaan 219/2, 2610 Antwerp, Belgium. Our enterprise number is 0847.844.732 (RPR Antwerp). You can contact us at info@codingmammoth.com or +32 478 80 42 86.
What we handle and why
Visiting this website
When you request a page, our hosting provider, Netlify, receives technical request data such as your IP address, requested URL, time of request, and browser information. This is needed to deliver and protect the website. We rely on our legitimate interest in running a reliable and secure company website.
We use Plausible Analytics to understand aggregate use of the website and improve its content. Plausible says it does not use cookies or keep raw IP addresses or browser user-agent strings; it processes them briefly to generate a website-specific identifier that changes daily. We rely on our legitimate interest in understanding how visitors use the site without persistent tracking. See Plausible's data policy for details.
This site loads fonts from Google. The contact page also includes an embedded Google Map, which loads when it approaches the visible part of the page. Loading these resources sends technical connection data to Google. The map may use Google's own cookies or other storage. The address and contact details are also provided as text on that page. See Google's privacy policy.
Contacting us and working with us
If you email or call us, we receive the contact details and message you choose to share, such as your name, business, email address, phone number, and enquiry. We use these details to reply and discuss the services you ask about. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries, or taking steps towards a contract at your request. You do not have to provide this information, but without a way to reach you we cannot reply.
For clients and suppliers, we may handle business contact details, correspondence, contract details, and billing information to deliver services, manage the relationship, pay or issue invoices, and keep required accounting records. For individual clients, performance of a contract may apply; for contacts at client or supplier companies, we rely on our legitimate interest in managing the relationship. We also meet legal accounting obligations.
QuickScale and MijnLijn
QuickScale edits images on your Mac. The version currently available in the Mac App Store includes a third-party crash-reporting and feedback component. When you request live departure times in MijnLijn, the app sends the selected stop to Coding Mammoth's service. That service receives your connection IP address and logs a hash derived from it alongside the stop request. MijnLijn may load Google ads; when it does, Google may receive technical data. See Google's privacy policy. Apple handles App Store downloads and purchases separately; see Apple's App Store privacy notice.
Service providers and other recipients
We do not sell personal data. The following services may receive data relevant to the work they do for us:
- Netlify hosts this website and receives website requests.
- Plausible provides website analytics.
- Google serves fonts and the map on our contact page.
- Google Workspace handles company email.
- Salesmate supports customer relationship management.
- Exact Online supports accounting and invoicing.
Our accountants, professional advisers, or public authorities may also receive relevant information when needed for our business or required by law. Semonto and ChaseMe providers are described in their separate product notices linked above.
Cookies and external content
Codingmammoth.com has no account sign-in or session cookie of its own. Plausible says its analytics does not set cookies. Google Maps is external content and may use its own storage when the map loads.
How long we keep data
We keep enquiries and correspondence while we handle the request and, if it becomes a business relationship, for the duration of that relationship and the applicable period for resolving related claims. We keep invoices and other accounting documents for the ten-year period required by Belgian tax and accounting rules. Website request and analytics data are handled under the operational retention practices of Netlify and Plausible; we do not use them to build individual visitor profiles.
International processing
Some services may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where a transfer requires protection under the GDPR, we use an applicable adequacy decision or appropriate safeguards. Contact us for details about a transfer that concerns your data.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you can ask to access, correct, erase, or receive your personal data, or restrict its use. You can contact us at info@codingmammoth.com to exercise these rights. You can also lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority.
Right to object
You can object at any time to processing based on our legitimate interests. Email info@codingmammoth.com and tell us which activity you object to.
