Checking your next bus or tram should be quick, whether you are at a stop or planning your journey at your desk. MijnLijn 3.17.0 is now available for iPhone, iPad and Mac, with a new native Mac app, iPad refinements, accessibility improvements and better connection recovery on Apple Watch. Here is what is in this update.

A clearer workspace on iPad

The map and stop list stay side by side. The list can be hidden and brought back using a control on the map, while the About button is always within reach at the top-right of the map and opens in a modal. Empty lists now offer actions that fit the screen, without asking you to open a map that is already visible.

A quieter experience with VoiceOver

Nearby stops no longer need to be rebuilt every time a GPS update arrives when the stops themselves have not changed. This helps avoid unnecessary refreshes and interruptions while using VoiceOver. We have also refined spoken labels, larger-text layouts and the QR scanner's accessibility controls.

MijnLijn on your Mac

The new Mac app is built with Mac Catalyst, with a layout made for the desktop rather than simply running the iPad app in a window. Favorites, nearby stops and the full stop list sit beside the map. Search by stop name or number, open departures without losing your place, resize the window, and use keyboard shortcuts for common actions. Camera-based QR scanning remains an iPhone and iPad feature.

More everyday improvements

  • Clearer search, favorites and empty states.
  • Improved recovery from temporary connection problems on Apple Watch.
  • Updated bundled stop data.

MijnLijn is a free, independent app for buses and trams operated by De Lijn in Flanders and Brussels. An internet connection is required to retrieve departure information, and the availability of realtime data depends on De Lijn. MijnLijn is not developed or published by De Lijn. Explore the app on our MijnLijn page, or check the App Store listing to get version 3.17.0 for iPhone, iPad and Mac.
